Nothing company has been doing its best to bring new features and its own implementation for the upcoming major update Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5. They have already released the first open beta build of Nothing OS 2.5 for Phone (2) which exclusively brings features such as Gestures Customisation, Home screen and lock screen new UI, Screenshot UI, and more.
New Screenshot UI in Nothing OS 2.5
Now the company has its own UI for the screenshot UI with three fingerprint swipe gesture on the Phone (2) with the latest beta update. Basically, they have removed the integration of the Google Photos. If you are not aware, we don’t have Nothing’s own gallery app for their smartphones although it has Google Photos.
But now the company is working around bringing their own set of UI for more minor things. The new Screenshot UI looks quite good if compared to the Google Photos Screenshot UI. Nothing’s Screenshot UI has fewer options rather than before and it looks good. You get options like cropping, drawing, and sharing. Let’s see what the company brings in the beta build.
As of now, this new UI of Screenshots is only present on Phone (2) running Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1 which is based on Android 14. Nothing Phone (1) has Google Photos Screenshot UI with many options which is quite irritating. We personally like simple and easy-to-use features unless we need advanced options.
How to Take Screenshots on Nothing Phone (2)
To take screenshots we now have a new method Three-finger swipe gesture which is now enabled by default. If you want to enable it Go to Settings > System > Gestures > Screenshot Gesture > Tap on the Three finger wipe.
There is also another method to take screenshots that you might know already. Just press and hold the power key and the volume-down key at the same time.
