Nothing Phone 2 Camera and Display Specs Leak Days Ahead of Launch

The highly anticipated launch of the Nothing Phone 2 is just around the corner, scheduled for July 11th. However, a recent leak has shed some light on the device’s potential camera and display specifications, giving eager fans a glimpse of what to expect. Renowned leaker Kamila Wojciechowska took to Twitter, catching the attention of tech enthusiasts, with details that could pique the interest of photography enthusiasts.

Nothing Phone 2 Leaked Specs

According to Wojciechowska’s tweet, the Nothing Phone 2 might boast significant improvements to its camera system. One notable feature is the possibility of a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera sensor, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and in-sensor zoom capabilities. Interestingly, this is the same primary sensor utilized in the OnePlus 11, which received praise for its performance. However, it remains to be seen how much of an impact this will have on the camera quality, given that the Phone 1 already boasts a 50MP main sensor.

In addition to the rear camera upgrades, the leak suggests that the front-facing camera on the Phone 2 could see a significant boost. It is rumored to feature a 32MP Sony IMX615 sensor with electronic image stabilization (EIS), offering an upgrade from the 16MP selfie camera found in its predecessor. As for the rear ultrawide lens, the leak indicates that it may remain unchanged, with a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei has been building anticipation by sharing some of the photos he has captured using the Phone 2, giving users a taste of what the device is capable of in terms of photography.

Furthermore, Wojciechowska’s leak also provided details regarding the Phone 2’s display. If accurate, it appears that there won’t be significant changes in this area. Anticipated specifications for the device include a 6.7-inch OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels. The screen is also said to support low power modes, capable of reducing the refresh rate to as low as 1Hz, which could contribute to improved battery efficiency.

With this latest leak, the veil is gradually being lifted on the Nothing Phone 2 ahead of its official launch. A hands-on video by popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee has already revealed the device’s physical appearance. Notably, the Phone 2 showcases an updated Glyph interface, allowing for greater lighting customization. Additionally, it will come bundled with a transparent USB-C cable, matching the phone’s distinctive see-through design.

As the launch date approaches, fans of Nothing eagerly anticipate the official announcement, hoping that the leaks have only scratched the surface of what the Phone 2 has in store.
