Nothing Phone (2) Benchmark Scores After Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 Update

Recently, Nothing company released the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 update for Nothing Phone (2). This update brings a host of new features to the Glyph Interface and another improvement to the device. We also tested the performance of the last build which is Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 1. Now we have new benchmark scores for the new one that we will compare with previous one.

Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 Performance Test on Phone (2)

In this performance test, we are going to use three applications with our Nothing Phone (2) running Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2, and those are Geekbench, CPU Throttling, and Antutu Benchmark.

Geekbench

First, we ran the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark on our Nothing Phone (2) where we got a score of 1727 with single-core and 4486 with multi-core. If we compare these scores with the previous build, the current score is slightly better. The Geekbench 6 GPU benchmark scored around 6000 with GPU OpenCL if compared to the previous scores, it was lowered by just six numbers. So basically, we are seeing improvements in Geekbench scores with the Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2 update.

CPU Throttling Test

Second, we ran that CPU Throttling test on Phone (2) where we got an average GIPS score of 270,287, and the CPU throttled to 63% of its max performance. We have seen better performance in similar tests in the previous update. So we ran the test for the second time we got some better results than before where the average GIPS score came to 270,764 and the CPU throttled to 70% of its max performance. These scores are not the best but we can say the phone is doing well while holding its performance if it gets heated. The CPU throttling test always heats up the device.

Antutu Benchmark

Third, we ran the Antutu benchmark on Phone (2) to find out how much it was going to perform. Here, we got a score of around 1097318 but in the previous update, we got 1167077. So here we are seeing performance degrade by some numbers in Anutu.

Talking about the overall performance of the Phone (2) after Nothing OS 2.5 Open Beta 2, it is a little bit better than before because we haven’t faced any bugs yet or any other issues. However, in the previous update, we faced many bugs that have been fixed in this latest update.
