Nothing CEO Carl Pei recently teased about Nothing OS 3.0 update with lockscreen screenshots on X (formerly Twitter). This will be an upcoming major update for Nothing Phones users as it brings a new user interface and exciting new features.
The teasers hint at changes to the lockscreen interface, with three new styles to choose from. The default style simply displays the clock, date, and day. The Clock+Widgets style includes a dotted font clock along with a weather widget, contact widget, and a quick action shortcut. The Expanded Widget Area style is an improved version of Clock+Widgets, featuring larger tiles for a more detailed display.
In addition to the lock screen changes, Carl Pei talked about upcoming interactive dot animations. These animations, expected to be used on the Quick Settings panel, will feature three layers: the input image layer, the live interaction layer, and the final output layer. This design aims to make the user experience more interactive and visually appealing.
Apart from new locksreens, Carl Pei also mentioned about upcoming interactive dot animations. These animations, expected to be used on the Quick Settings panel, will feature three layers: the input image layer, the live interaction layer, and the final output layer. After this, we might see smoother transitions while using the Nothing phones.
The company CEO has also confirmed that the official announcement for Nothing OS 3.0 will happen in September 2024. More details are expected to be shared in the coming months, building anticipation for the new features and improvements.
