Nothing company has released the October Nothing OS 2.6 update for Nothing Phone (2a) users. This update is exclusively for non-beta users, while some users have already opted for the newer Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1.
The update is relatively small, at just 83.03 MB, making it quick to download and install.
One of the most exciting new features in this update is the high refresh rate support for PUBG Mobile & BGMI, allowing players to experience a smoother 90 FPS gameplay. This enhancement is aimed at providing a more immersive and fluid experience for gaming enthusiasts.
In addition to gaming improvements, the update also brings smoother access to Quick Settings. Users will notice that swiping down to open Quick Settings now feels more responsive, especially in specific scenarios, making everyday interactions more convenient.
Photography has also seen an upgrade, with optimizations to Ultra HDR display effects. This adjustment is expected to improve photo quality, allowing users to capture more vibrant and detailed images.
The update includes the October 2024 Android security patch, adding an extra layer of security for Nothing Phone (2a) users, which keeps the device safe against potential threats. Additionally, a bug affecting the Bluetooth tile in Quick Settings has been fixed, ensuring that Bluetooth information updates correctly when toggled.
Lastly, system stability has been improved with various fixes. These changes are aimed at providing a more reliable and seamless user experience, addressing minor stability issues that some users may have encountered.
