The Samsung company has made a decision to extend its software support for its devices, but not every flagship Galaxy device will get this benefit.
The One UI 6 update will not be available for popular Samsung smartphones like the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series this year. Although both lineups have completed their remarkable period of nonstop software updates, one more year of security fixes is still to come.
Currently, the company offers major OS upgrades for up to four years, and this will be extended temporarily. Additionally, it has extended the time between security updates to five years, allowing users to keep their phones longer.
