iQOO 12 to Launch Bloatware Free with Three Major Android Updates

The iQOO 12 is going to launch in India on December 12, and it comes with the promise of a bloatware-free experience. This new smartphone will be free of pre-installed applications that aren’t useful on the devices, which include criticized ‘Hot Apps’ and ‘Hot Games’ folders.

Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India has confirmed that the iQOO 12 will not only be free of unwanted pre-installed apps but will also receive three major Android software updates and four years of security patches. The device will be running on Funtouch OS 14 which is based on Android 14.

The iQOO 12 is not just about software promises; it packs powerful hardware too. It features a 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED display, offering a 1.5K resolution and brightness up to 1400 nits.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, combined with 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. So we will be seeing top-notch performance and ample storage space on the smartphone.

In the camera department, the iQOO 12 doesn’t disappoint. It comes with a 50MP primary camera supported by OIS, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 64MP telephoto camera.

Furthermore, the smartphone will have a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, NFC, 5G connectivity, and a dual-SIM card slot, making the iQOO 12 a well-rounded device in terms of specifications and capabilities.

With its bloatware-free approach and solid hardware, the iQOO 12 is expected to be a strong contender in the Indian smartphone market.
