Google One VPN Update Fixes Android Auto Compatibility

Google One is a subscription plan that provides extra storage and can be used across Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail. Google One also provides extra benefits, like premium support and VPN service. Before, VPN was not working properly on Android Auto but now the compatibility issue has been fixed by Google.

It seems that there were issues reported by users regarding the Google One VPN causing problems with Android Auto’s wireless mode. Android Auto in its wireless mode which relies on a Wi-Fi connection between the phone and the car for functionality. The VPN might have been interfering with this connection, resulting in disruptions or failures in the seamless operation of Android Auto wirelessly. According to the users, the issue started after updating Android Auto to a new version and then going back to an older version.

Recently, Google has updated the Google One app and the issue has been fixed which lets users use Android Auto wirelessly without disabling VPN service till they have the latest version installed on their device.

Google released a fixed version on October 26th. If you are among those users who are facing the issue, kindly install the latest version of the Google One app.
