Google Messages Adds New Text Field with Shortcuts Bar and Voice Effects

The Google Messages app is coming up with a new-designed text field. The new text field will provide a shortcut bar that will let users access emoji, magic compose, gallery, and more options even while typing on their smartphone.

The old design used to hide the buttons when the user typed more text, but the new design kept the buttons visible. The voice memo is not available in the text field, but it is outside the text field and it has a new look.

A new feature has been added to the voice recorder called Moods. Users can change their voice effects according to their mood. According to some users, the text field alignment does not match the message bubbles.

As of now, the new design is not available for all users, but beta users can experience it on their smartphones.
