The company has announced that the 2024 ROG lineup, including the ROG Phone 8 series, will be introduced on January 8 at the CES event in Las Vegas. Additionally, the official ROG Weibo account confirmed that the phone will launch in China on January 16.
The excitement around the ROG Phone 8 is high, especially with the release of a teaser video from the Chinese ROG account. This video gives us a first look at the phone’s display, showing a punch-hole cutout – a first for the ROG Phone series. The new display also features slimmer bezels compared to previous models, indicating a sleeker design.
Asus isn’t holding back on giving sneak peeks of the ROG Phone 8. They recently teased close-up renders of the phone which highlights its new back design. The most noticeable change is the pentagon-shaped camera cutout, signaling a fresh approach to the phone’s aesthetics. The company is also conducting a blind camera test for the ROG Phone 8. As for the technical specifications, the ROG Phone 8 is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, up to 24GB RAM, and support for 65W charging. The phone will also come with Android 14, giving users the latest software experience.
