In great news to iPhone fans, Apple has made a thrilling move with the arrival of iOS 18.1 Beta 4 having many new features, including advanced AI capabilities and much-awaited call recording support. These will be mostly available in India, and the list of improvements is comprehensive, targeting the core experience of all users.
This update was released shortly after the stable version of iOS 18. The update size for the iOS 18.1 beta 4 is 7.11 GB and the device is here iPhone 15 Pro Max. It includes foundational AI-driven features under the ‘Apple Intelligence’ heading. Users can sign up for a waitlist in the settings menu for those features that may be of interest to them, and they will receive an alert when those features go live for their device.
The most prominent feature of iOS 18.1 Beta 4 is the call recording feature, which lets users record calls straight from the phone app with the conversation transcribed in the Notes app and also sends an audio notification before the actual recording begins so that all of them are aware of it.
The update also comes with some enhancements to the camera function. There will be the enhanced photo and video options, such as the ability to adjust the playback speed in videos recorded in 4K at 60 FPS, supposedly left behind in the stable build of iOS 18.
The communication tab in the control center has been redesigned using larger tiles that consume too much screen space for some users. The redesign, according to many users in the feedback section, elicits mixed reactions.
Minor changes include emoji display within the keyboard app where the emoji sizes have now been increased for better visibility.
Apple also continues to update Siri. New animations and a quicker response time in giving suggestions based on queries are a few of the features Siri owns. On the downside, the users may feel delays in downloading the new features of Siri featuring everything this could mean in implementation of Apple Intelligence capabilities.
When Apple updates them, the iOS user base in India would benefit significantly through a much more personalized and efficient interface with a really strong bang for their back for the AI technology as well as other advanced upgrades.
